π PRODUCT OVERVIEW
An EM282 ultrasonic leak-detection kit designed to locate leaks in pressure and vacuum systems and check the sealing of non-pressurised compartments.
The kit combines an EM282-R ultrasonic receiver with an EM282-T transmitter. It can be used in either passive mode to detect ultrasonic emissions produced by escaping gas or liquid, or active mode to check sealed areas using the supplied ultrasonic transmitter.
β TWO OPERATING MODES
Passive Mode
The EM282-R receiver detects ultrasonic sound generated as gas or liquid passes through a small opening in a pressurised or vacuum system. The detector helps pinpoint the source using an adjustable audible ticking signal and LEAK indicator light.
Active Mode
The EM282-T transmitter is placed inside a non-pressurised compartment or enclosed area. It emits a 40kHz ultrasonic signal that escapes through openings or faulty seals, allowing the EM282-R receiver to locate the leak from outside.
