Laser Tools 8942 flywheel locking tool, designed to lock the crankshaft on selected Hyundai and Kia hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Unlike conventional flywheel locking tools, this tool engages with the rear of the drive plate. The relevant vehicles do not use a conventional ring gear, so the specially shaped locking pawl locates into the back of the drive plate to hold the engine securely during crankshaft pulley removal and refitting.
