🔧 Description

Genuine Laser Tools 8422 auto tensioner compressor tool, designed for compressing the automatic belt tensioner fitted to selected Hyundai and Kia hybrid vehicles.

The tensioner is used on the heavy-duty multi-V belt that connects the high-voltage starter generator to the engine. Due to the strong internal spring, the tensioner must be compressed before belt removal and refitting.

This tool includes a compression control tube to help prevent over-compression on Hyundai 1.6L GHEV engines.
